Reflexology is a science that deals
with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet
and hands which correspond to all of the glands, organs and
parts of the body. Reflexology is a unique method of using
the thumb and fingers on these reflex areas: 1) to relieve
stress and tension. 2) to improve blood supply and promote
the unblocking of nerve impulses. 3) to help nature achieve
homeostasis. 75% of todays diseases are attributable to stress

Reflexology History
Its origins reach back into ancient Egypt as evidenced by inscriptions found in a physicians tomb (Mastaba).
There could be a link to the ancient art of oriental pressure therapy, but this is unknown.
Dr William H Fitzgerald in 1917 who published a book titled "Zone Therapy", or "releaving pain at home" describes his success with relieving pain through the use of various devices...

Reflexology Treatments
Treatments usually last one hour,
sessions are started by a period of note taking of clients
symptoms and previous history which may be relevant. Then
the treatment will start with relaxation techniques to relax
the feet. the feet are then studied using fingers and thumbs
to detect any irregularities in the reflexes. Once studied
and relaxed the feet are subjected to vigorous techniques
which encourage blood flow and awaken nerve reflexes....
