Reflexology Treatment
Treatments usually last one hour,
sessions are started by a period of note taking of clients symptoms and
previous history which may be relevant. Then the treatment will start with
relaxation techniques to relax the feet. The feet are then studied using
fingers and thumbs to detect any irregularities in the reflexes. Once studied
and relaxed the feet are subjected to vigorous techniques which encourage
blood flow and awaken nerve reflexes.
Sessions are finnished with some
gentle massage to warm down the feet. Clients are always advised to drink
plenty of fluids to flush out any toxins after treatment.
Some patients experience a "healing
crisis" afterwards, which is usually a headache, sore throat or cold
and is due to the body rebalancing itself. Not all patients experience this
though.
